Our Mission
The Mission: To transform the high school experience so every NECCA Academy student graduates proficient and with a plan, a purpose and a path forward. Through early college exposure for all students, our students graduate either prepared to enter a 4-year university or immediately enter a high paying, high-demand career field.
The Need: In NECCA Academy's target zip codes (89030, 89031, 89032 and 89108), there are roughly 10,000 high school aged students, and not a single 9-12 grade high school with a 4 or 5-Star rating. Of those who graduate, less than 5% are proficient in math and less than 20% are proficient in English Language Arts.
By fulfilling the school’s mission, every student will graduate with meaningful college credit and/or workforce credentials, and the academic, social-emotional, and navigational skills required to persist in college, careers, and adult life. The school will expand equitable access to dual enrollment, deliver personalized instruction, implement a comprehensive student support framework, and remove structural barriers that have historically limited postsecondary attainment.
Our Core Belief: Every student is capable of success when given both opportunity and support.

Academic and Student Life
9th and 10th grade students complete the majority of high school coursework virtually, with in-person support. Freshmen can participate in their first college course during second semester. On average, tenth grade students take up two elective college courses.
Eleventh and twelfth grade students take 3 to 5 college courses per semester.
NECCA Academy will partner with Nevada Partners, a community learning center, to provide a state-of-the art learning environment for its students, including a dedicated classroom and private meeting spaces, and access to the computer lab, e-gaming center (pictured here) and Veteran's Library.
